    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team finished their season with a final double header against Molloy College. The Lions beat STAC, 5-0 and 9-0. Samantha Welsh, Sharis Ruiz and Amanda Forsythe each had two hits for the day.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to Dowling, 2-0 and 7-0 yesterday. In game one, Sharis Ruiz went 2-for-3 while Angela Squillini and Michelle Sasso each had a hit. In game two, Heather Clausen and Kelsey George each had a hit.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to Queens College, 10-0 and 4-2. Today's game represented senior day for the Lady Spartans senior Angela Squillini. Joy Ferriello and Sharis Ruiz each had two hits for the day. Heather Clausen hit a 2-run homer in game two for STAC.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team beat Bridgeport 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. The game was continued from their game on April 6th that ended in a 2-2 tie due to darkness. Bridgeport beat STAC, 3-1 and 2-0 in Saturday's double header in Connecticut.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team won 5-4 before falling 14-5 against C.W. Post. Senior Angela Squillini hit a 2-RBI double in the seventh to win the game for STAC. Freshman Maura Power picked up the win on the mound.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to Mercy College, 3-2 and 4-0. Junior Alyssa Cataldo was 3-for-5 for the day. Michelle Sasso and Heather Clausen each scored a run for the Lady Spartans.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to NYIT 11-2 and 8-2 in Sundays ECC double header. Senior Angela Squilini was 2-for-3 with an RBI in game one while freshman Samantha Welsh was 2-for-3 with an RBI in the second game for the Lady Spartans.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team beat Felician College, 6-1 in the first game before falling 6-4 in game two. Joy Ferriello hit a grand slam in the fifth inning to lead the Lady Spartans in their win.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost at Dowling, 7-1 and 8-0. Freshman Samantha Welsh scored STAC's run in the top of the first. Angela Squillini and Alyssa Cataldo each had a hit for STAC.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team picked up their first ECC win topping Mercy, 4-1 before falling 6-2 in the second game. Sharis Ruiz went 3-for-4 with 1 run and 1 RBI in the win. Freshman Samantha Welsh picked up her first win on the mound with 5 hits, 1 run and 4 strike outs.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to Pace University in yesterday's double header. The Lady Spartans fell, 8-7 in the first game and 16-13 in game two. Sophomore Heather Clausen went 5-for-8 for the day with 5 RBI's and 3 runs between both games.

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost both games in today's double header against Rollins College. The Lady Spartans suffered an 8-0 shutout before falling, 16-2 in the second game. In game two, STAC got on the scoreboard in the fifth when Joy Ferriello and Caitlin Sherrier each scored on wild pitches.
  • Lady Spartans Struggle in Florida

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team has opened the 2010 season in Clermont, Florida. Due to poor weather conditions the trip was delayed and schedule changes have occurred. The Lady Spartans will play a total of seven games while in Florida.
  • Lady Spartans Named to National Fastpitch All-Academic Team

    The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team ranked 55th on the National Fastpitch All-Academic Team with a Team GPA of 3.107. The Lady Spartans, Michelle Sasso and Kelly Sullivan were named National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes.
