NEWS AND NOTES:
Ice Hockey - The STAC Ice Hockey Team will conclude their 2011-2012 season on Friday, February 10th as they take on Raritan Valley Community College at the Palisades Center Mall Ice Rink. Gametime is set for 8:30pm and it is also Senior Night. The team will be honoring its Seniors with pregame ceremonies prior to the opening face-off. We would like to congratulate Joe Carfora, Ryan Conte, Chris Huling, Chris Lafuentes and Team Manager Craig "CJ" Jennings for all of their hard work and contributions to STAC Hockey.
Bowling - After two terrific appearances at tournaments last weekend, the STAC Bowling Team takes to the lanes for the final time this season on Saturday, February 11th, as the Spartans will compete in the Nassau Community College Region XV Tournament at AMF Garden City Lanes in Garden City, NY. The tournaments gets underway at 12pm.
Volleyball - The newest member of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Club Sports Program will play their inaugural match on Saturday, February 18th, when the Spartans participate in the Garden Empire Volleyball Association Tournament against other club teams from across the region. The match will take place at American Turners in Bronx, NY and first serve is schedule for 8:45am.
Cheerleading and Dance Team - The STAC Cheerleaders and Spartan Dancers will be hosting a clinic/tryout for potential new members and recruits on Monday, April 9th from 7 to 10pm in Aquinas Hall Gymnasium. All participants should wear appropriate dress and footware for the event. For more information, contact Head Coach, Lynn Naumann-Phenix at either cheerleaders@stac.edu or stacdancers@stac.edu.
