Lady Spartan Finish Season Against Molloy

The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team finished their season with a final double header against Molloy College.  The Lions beat STAC, 5-0 and 9-0.  Samantha Welsh, Sharis Ruiz and Amanda Forsythe each had two hits for the day.

The Lady Spartans finished their season with an overall record of 7-38 and 3-25 in the ECC.  Ruiz finished with a team high batting average of .323 followed by senior Angela Squillini at .313.  Squillini had a team high 29 RBI's for the Lady Spartans while Ruiz added 19.  Ruiz along with Welsh each had 18 runs for STAC. 

Freshman Maura Power had a team high 5 wins on the mound while Welsh finished her rookie season with 2 wins.  The Lady Spartans will graduate one senior and look to return 12 players for next season.
