The St. Thomas Aquinas softball team lost to C.W. Post 8-0 and 3-0 in today's double header.  Samantha Welsh went 3-for-5 for the day but the Lady Spartans struggled to score stranding eight.

Welsh had the only hit for the first game while Michelle Sasso drew a walk.  C.W. Post jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second and went on to add five more runs in the third.  Amanda Forsythe picked up the loss on the mound for STAC.

In the second game of the day, Welsh was 2-for-3 and Shariz Ruiz went 2-for-2 with a walk.   The Pioneers got out to another early start with a 2-run first inning and added another run in the third.  Freshman Maura Power gave up 3 runs and struck out 1 in the loss. 

STAC will play at NYIT on Thursday .
