Bateman Named to Women's Cross Country All-Region Team

Sophomore Keeley Bateman is the first Lady Spartan in cross country program history to be honored as an USTFCCA All-Region Team member. Bateman garnered the honor following a 19th place finish at the 2011 NCAA DII East Regional race on Sunday.[full story]

Sophomore Keeley Bateman set the STAC 6K record of 23:28 at the NCAA East Regional. She helped the Lady Spartans to a 14th place team finish, which is a program best at the NCAA DII level. Freshman Joe Chegwidden led the Spartans to their 15th place finish crossing the line in 33:29. The regionals were held at Franklin Park in Boston, MA.[full story]
Coach Gangemi Takes on the NYC Marathon with Team MEB

Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field coach and former Spartan standout, Andrew Gangemi, will run the 2011 ING New York City Marathon for Team MEB. Gangemi has trained with the Spartan cross country program throughout this season and is ready to take on the 26.2 mile challenge.[full story]
