Lady Spartans Blast Cougars, 9-0
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team topped Cladwell 9-0 in today's match. Senior Alison Reeg picked up her first two victories in the number one seed for both singles and doubles. Reeg defeated Olga Ndhlovu, 6-3, 6-0 and joined with Danielle Bicknell for the 8-3 victory in doubles.
Bicknell also won in the number three singles match shutting out Suzanne Dragovcic, 6-0, 6-0. Kristen Schimpf took on Brittni Frantellizzi for a 6-1, 6-3 win and also was successful in her doubles match pulling out an 8-3 victory with teammate Christine Patruno. Patruno who is coming off two recent victories also won her singles match.
Freshman Erin Maher, Jayden Brignola and junior Valerie Massaro also picked up wins for the Lady Spartans in both singles and doubles matches. STAC will return to action on September 29th with a home match against Post University.
