Lady Spartans Dominate Post, 7-2
The St. Thomas Aquinas women's tennis team defeated Post University, 7-2 in yesterday afternoons match. Senior Alison Reeg won 8-0 in the top singles flight and also picked up an 8-5 victory in doubles along with teammate Danielle Bicknell. Sophomore Kristen Schimpf was also victorious in both singles and doubles winning 6-0, 6-0 in the second flight and pulling off an 8-0 shutout in second doubles with Christine Patruno. Valarie Massaro and freshman Erin Maher won the third doubles flight, 8-0 while freshman Jayden Brignola and Sarah Hughes were successful in the fifth and sixth singles matches.
The Lady Spartans will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Molloy College.
