Rollins Tops STAC, 19-7

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team put up a tough fight against visiting Rollins College on Friday afternoon.  The Lady Spartans received two goals from senior Jen Bruen, Liz Gronwoldt and Anne Buttafuoco.  Senior Kate Quinn added a goal for the Lady Spartans.  Goalkeeper Jennifer Kugler had sixteen saves for STAC.

STAC scored their first three goals on free position shots before Bruen added an unassisted goal with 8:40 to go in the half to close the gap to 6-4.  The Lady Spartans went into the break down 9-5.  STAC received two more goals in the second half one by Buttafuoco and the other by Gronwoldt with thirteen seconds remaining in the game.

The Lady Spartans will travel to Chestnut Hill on Monday before the host their final home game on the season on Wednesday against Holy Family.
