The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team dropped a hard fought 18-9 game against visiting Molloy College yesterday.  Senior Jen Bruen scored her first goal at the 4:54 mark to tie the game at 1-1.  Bruen finished with three goals.  Anne Buttafuoco and Lindsey Lawless each added two goals.  Buttafuoco along with Sara Schmidt each had an assist for the Lady Spartans.  Schmidt and Kate Quinn scored one goal apiece for STAC.

Buttafuoco's first goal at 9:53 tied the game 2-2 however the Lions rattled off eight more goals in the first half.  Bruen scored late in the half to bring the half time score to 10-3.  Lawless scored the first Lady Spartan goal in the second period as the Lady Spartans continued to fight hard.  STAC had a strong offensive output in the final ten minutes of the game as they scored five of the games last six goals.

The Lady Spartans will be back in action as they host Rollins (FL.) on Friday at Torne Valley.  Game time is slated for 4:00 PM.
