Spartans Fall to Dolwing, 16-3

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-3 loss to visiting Dowling College on Saturday afternoon.  Jen Bruen scored two goals for the Lady Spartans while Lindsey Lawless added a goal as well.  Jen Kugler had ten saves for STAC.

Dowling got off to a 6-0 start befor Bruen put STAC on the board with her first goal of the game.  Lawless added her goal two minutes later following another Dowling goal to make the score 7-2, however the Lady Spartans would not get much closer.  Bruen, who leads the Lady Spartans with points this season, added another goal in the second half. 

Cassandra Cronin scored a game high five goals and one assist while Vanessa Moreira and Kelly Cefala added three goals apiece. 

STAC will return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Manhattanville College for a 4:00 game.
