The St. Thomas Aquinas women's basketball team participated in the 25th Women's Distance Festival on July 14th, sponsored by the Rockland Road Runners Club.  The race proceeds raise money for the Rockland Family Shelter and the Lady Spartans have participated in the run for the past 4 years.

The race is a 5K run around the Lake at Rockland State Park.  This was the first year in which a team category was added to the race as the Lady Spartans took 1st place in the team category.
