Queens Blast Lady Spartans

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's basketball team lost to Queens College, 70-44 Saturday evening at Fitzgerald Gymnasium.  The Knights outrebounded the Lady Spartans 62-40 proving to be a difference maker in the game.  Jennifer DiChiara led the Knights with twenty-three points and twenty-two rebounds.  Briana Sloper scored seventeen for STAC while grabbing nine boards of her own.

Amanda Barlett (19), Jennifer Robbins (11) and Kara Otterbine (10) all scored in double figures for the Knights.   STAC struggled shooting a mere six percent from behind the arc (1-16) and was 9-20 from the free throw line.

The Lady Spartans will be back in action on Saturday as they host Adelphi University at 1:00.
