Mavericks Stomp Spartans, 69-52

The St. Thomas Aquinas women's basketball team lost to Mercy College, 69-52.  Briana Sloper netted sixteen points and seven rebounds.  Colleen Vogel had eleven points while Whitney Dugan chipped in ten as the Spartans built a 30-26 halftime lead.

Delmara Reece's scored twenty-six points and a game high twenty three rebounds to highlight the win. She had good support from Christina Baxter who added thirteen points and 10 assists.  Mercy rattled off a 20-4 run out of the half while the Spartans failed to execute their numerous scoring opportunities.

STAC will host Concordia on Saturday at 1:00.  Saturday's game is Take a Kid to the Game Day and all kids twelve and under will get in for free.  There will be an autograph session with the players immediately following the game.
