Takiyah Ingram Named To The All-Met First Team

 

Senior guard Takiyah Ingram has been named to the NIT/Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association All-Met Division II Women's Basketball 1st Team for the 2007-08 season. Ingram, from Poughkeepsie, NY, averaged 16.4ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.7apg and 3.2spg for the Lady Spartans this season. She was named to the 2007-08 ECC All-Conference 1st Team, as well.

Joining Ingram on the 1st team are Kymira Woodberry from Molloy, Gianna Smith from Adelphi, MacKenzie Lynch from Caldwell, Amanda Bartlett from Queens, Dana Rotio and Adele Laskowski from Dominican.

Takiyah is the 7th Lady Spartan to be named to the All-Met team. Previous STAC winners include: Jen Moran, Eileen King, Jackie DiNuzzo, Josephine Alohan, Kelly McManus and Erika Ostrove.

The All-Met Awards will be presented Thursday evening, April 17 at the Giant Stadium Club in Rutherford, NJ.
