In the women's field events, sophomore thrower Jeanette Gibson dominated the field in the Shot Put, Javelin and Discus events. Jeanette took first place in both the Shot & Discus, while coming in second in the Javelin in the college division. She won the shot put with a throw of 36'25". She turned the discus out in 115.01. (Breaking her school record of 115.08) Gibson also threw the Javelin 83'05". Not a bad performance considering she was juggling & competing in all three events at the same time!
On the men's side of the track, sophomore Chris Muniz won the college division in the 400 meter dash and took second in the 200 meter dash. In the 400, Chris set a new school record of 50.01. Chris also ran on the 4 X 400 relay which took second place overall. Sophomore Vinny Modafferi, came in sixth place in the 400 meter dash in the college division with a time of 51.68.
