STRYSKO PERFORMS WELL AT IC4A CHAMPIONSHIPS

Sophomore James Strysko became the first St. Thomas Aquinas athlete ever to compete in the outdoor IC4A championships when he contested the javelin in the 131st annual meet on May 12 at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J.

Strysko (Hillburn, N.Y./Suffern H.S.) flung the javelin 124 feet, 11 inches to place 18th in a high-quality field representing the top collegiate competitors from Maine to Virginia. The Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America (IC4A) is the oldest collegiate track & field organization in the country.
