STAC Softball Players Named To The All-ECC Teams
STAC Shortstop Karen Thorne was named to the All-ECC 1st team while teammate Jess Gogatz joined her as a member of the 2nd team as an outfielder.
Thorne led the Spartans in most offensive categories this season hitting .403 with 11 doubles and 11 homeruns. She drove in 32 runs with a .790 slugging percentage. A good defensive player as well, Karen had a .958 fielding percentage.
Gogatz, a pitcher as well, carried a .344 batting average with 7 doubles and 7 homeruns. She tallied 22 rbi's with a .578 slugging percentage.
The Spartans ended the season with a 14 - 26 record overall and
a 6 - 14 record in the ECC.
