STAC Softball Splits Doubleheader With
Wilmington College.
STAC Softball lost game 1 of the doubleheader to Wilmington by the score of 3 - 2 in a game that was decided in the 7th inning. The Lady Spartans 2 runs came via a 2-run homer off the bat of junior catcher Amanda Brown. Jess Gogatz took the loss for STAC.
In game 2, the women came back from a 6-run deficit with 6 runs
in the bottom of the 5th inning to tie the contest. Brown (her 2nd
of the day), Shannon Donohue and Justine Clifford each homered in
the inning. STAC, then, scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th on
Clifford's 2nd HR of the game for the win. Donohue was the winning
pitched.
