Lady Spartans Take 2 From Concordia
The STAC Softball Team captured a doubleheader from ECC rival Concordia on Saturday by the scores of 4 - 3 in the 1st game and 7 - 3 in the 2nd contest. Shannon Donohue pitched a complete game for the win in game 1 bringing her record to 2 - 2 on the season. Andrea Martorelli earned the victory in game 2 with help from Jess Gogatz in relief. Martorelli is 3 - 1 on the season. Gogatz was one of the hitting stars on the day going 4 for 7 in 2 games including 3 doubles and a homerun. Karen Thorne, Brianna Peterson, Amanda Brown and Donohue also homered for STAC.
The wins bring STAC's record to 6 & 12 overall and 3 - 1 in the conference.
Coach Barbara Vano's charges host Philadelphia University on
Sunday for 2 games beginning at 12noon.
