The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team tied with the University of New Haven, 1-1 in this afternoon's game. Joseph Connolly scored for the Spartans just five minutes into the game. The goal was Connolly's second of the season. Andrew Tartara recorded 2 saves for the Spartans.
The Spartans had eleven shots on goal to the Chargers three, with Remington Lee having three of his own. New Haven's Joseph D'Antonio scored for the Chargers off a penalty kick at the 54:50 minute mark. J.J Comeau recorded 10 saves for New Haven.
Both teams went scoreless through two overtime sessions ending in a draw. The Spartans are 2-0-2 to start the season and will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Chestnut Hill.
