Spartans Dominate Griffins, 3-0

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team beat Chestnut Hill College, 3-0.  Remington Lee and Sean Devito scored their first goals of the season while Daniel Davren added his third goal of the year.  Ethan Evans and Jack Legg each added an assist for the Spartans.  Andrew Tartara recorded six saves and his third shutout of the season.

The Spartans got on the scoreboard at the 26 minute mark off Lee's goal to the left corner of the net.  A few minutes later, STAC added their second goal as Davren scored a long cross from Evans, giving the Spartans a 2-0 advantage at the half.

Devito was able to add an insurance goal for the Spartans in the final ten minutes of action.  Nicholas Pulumbo earned his first minutes in goal for the Spartans as the STAC defense continued its strong play holding the Griffins scoreless. 

The Spartans will return to action when they face Gannon College on Saturday for their first home game of the season.  Saturday's game is at 12:30 p.m. at Eugene Levy Memorial Park.  The Spartans are now 3-0-2.
