St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer players Andrew Tartara and Joseph Connolly were named the East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week. The Spartans went 2-0 for the week and are currently 11-1-1 and 4-1 in the ECC.

Both players were instrumental in the Spartans 2-0 week with wins over New Haven and C.W. Post.  Tartara recorded 8 saves for the week to increase his season total to 59 as he has helped guide the Spartans to an 11-1-1 season.  Connolly notched his 2nd and 3rd goals of the season with a goal in each game this week.  Connolly came up big in the victory over the Pioneers as he headed in the tying goal with 7 minutes remaining in regulation.
