Late Goal Edges Spartans Over Lock Haven, 2-1

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's soccer team beat Lock Haven University, 2-1 in todays game.  Remington Lee scored a goals with four minutes left to play to give STAC the edge in the close fought contest.  Daniel Davren also added a goal for STAC off an assist from Conor Flynn.

Andrew Tartara had 6 saves for the day as each team had 7 shots on goal.  Davren's goal came half way through the first half off a cross from Flynn.  The Eagles scored early in the second half to tie the game off a long ball from David Qaisi that was headed in by Greg Shertzer.  Lee connected from 10 yards out as he chipped the ball over the goal keepers head. 

The Spartans went 2-0 in the road games for the week and will return to action for their first home contest against Concordia College on Wednesday, September 8th.  The Spartans play at 5:30 PM at the North Rockland Soccer Association.
