In the second game of the Classic, Wilmington College used an "own goal" to beat St. Thomas Aquinas college 3-2. The Wildcats improve to 2-1, while the Spartans drop to 1-3.

The second goal was the result of some quick passing by the Wildcats. Junior Probyn Allen fed a pass towards the right corner for freshman Frank Piccioni, who quickly crossed to streaking junior Agustin Aguilera,. Aquilera tapped in just past the diving Spartan keeper.
The game was very physical with 44 fouls and 4 yellow cards combined for both teams. The rough play led to the fourth goal, as St. Thomas was awarded a penalty kick in the 62nd minute. Sophomore Jon Michael Nabais converted into the lower left.
The game would stay tied until the 88th minute, when freshman Joe Stant sent a cross into the box for Wilmington. In attempting to clear the ball, a St. Thomas defender inadvertently scored upon his goalie.
