STAC Soccer Tops Holy Family, 2 - 1

 

The STAC men's soccer team won for the 4th time this season with a 2 - 1 victory over Holy family University of Philadelphia.

 

The Spartans scored 1st with 15:21 gone in the opening half as Chris Landes took a pass from Steven Ocampo and found a spot in the net.  Holy family answered with a goal of their own at the 40:57 mark of the same period. The game became a defensive struggle after that unti the 53:31 mark of the 2nd stanza Adam Paretti took a pass from Lukasz Hausner and beat the Holy family goalie, Patrick Becker.

 

 Becker had 6 saves for the Tigers while Michael Chappas, playing in place of the injured Sean McEnery, had 2 for the Spartans.

 

Coach Graham Brown's team runs its record to 4 - 5 - 2 overall. They return to actionon THursday when they host Goldey Beacom College of Delaware at the Nardi Soccer Complex in North Rockland.
