The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team dropped a road game at Philadelphia University, 77-50. Justin Brown and Ra'Shad James had 15 and 1 3 points respectively.
The Spartans struggled shooting 1-14 from behind the arc and 19-52 from the field. Philadelphia got off to a 25-6 run in the opening ten minutes of play. The Rams extended their lead by as many as twenty-four in the half before STAC rallied off an 8-0 run to close our the half. Sophomore Jason Holloway had five points during the run and finished the game with 7 points.
Philiadelphia shot 54.2 percent from the floor (32-59) and edged STAC on the boards, 35-32. Russell Frederick and Marcus Lemon paced the Rams with 18 and 17 points while Malcolm Ingram and Mike Yocum each had 14.
The Spartans will be back in action on Monday when they host Wilmington University at Aquinas Hall. The Spartans will tip off at 7:00 PM.
