Spartans Fall to Golden Falcons in Double Overtime

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team dropped an 84-80 decision on the road against Felician College on Tuesday evening.  The Spartans were led by senior Akeem Comas with twenty five points and seven rebounds.  Seniors Jelani Winfield and Chris Williams added fourteen points apiece.

Williams forced overtime with a difficult driving lay-up with 0:22 to play in regulation. Winfield scored the last bucket of the first extra session with 1:17 on the clock carrying the Spartans into their second overtime period for the first time this season. 

An offensive rebound and three-point play by the Golden Falcon's Andrew August with 1:31  left in the game gave Felician College its final lead as they held on for the win. 

The Spartans were outrebounded 52-36 in the game as they drop to 4-6 on the season.  This was the last game of the year as the St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team will not compete again until January 10th when they host ECC opponent Adelphi University.
