Spartans Lose to Adelphi, 71-49

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team lost to Adelphi, 71-49 in last night's matchup.  Ra'Shad James scored sixteen points for the Spartans shooting 6-12 from the floor and 3-6 from behind the arc.  Akeem Comas recorded eleven points and ten rebounds while Chris Williams added thirteen points and two assists.

Adelphi was led by Richard Byrd who scored fourteen points and twelve rebounds.  Alvin Vivican also recorded fourteen points while Casey Cosgrove dished out a game high eight assists. 

The Panthers held the advantage on the boards, 39-25.  The Spartans struggled from the foul line going 11-25 compared to Adelphi's 17-23.  The Spartans will return to action on Saturday as they face Mercy College.
