STAC Golfers Place 4th At Dowling College September Shootout.
The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's golf team finished fourth out of a 16-team field including many top regional opponents this weekend. The Spartans played two solid rounds with final scores of 309 and 313. Leading the team was freshman Chris Fitzpatrick, posting rounds of 73 and 79, good for his first top 10 finish. Freshman Nick Zolotas continued his solid play with rounds of 79 and 77 leaving him tied for 17th place. Senior Jordan Perretz played well for a second straight tournament posting 79, 79 which secured him in the top 25. Brian Viola and Pat Schwarze rounded out the scores with 2-day totals of 160.
The Spartans will be in action next against top flight Division I opponents at the St. John's McLaughlin tournament.
