Spartans Athletic Day at the Boulders a Success
The Spartan Athletics Day at Provident Bank Park hosted by the Rockland Boulders turned out to be a successful night and a fun way to welcome the Spartan Baseball Team to their new home field. The evening consisted of an autograph signing of some Spartan baseball players along with former Spartan and current Rockland Boulder pitcher, John Muller.
President of St. Thomas Aquinas, Dr. Margaret Fitzpatrick had the honor of throwing out the first pitch of the game in front of a strong support of St. Thomas employees, students, family and friends. The Spartan baseball team and coaching staff took the field supporting Dr. Fitzpatrick's pitch which was caught by Muller. The Spartans released their home spring schedule of 28 games, all of which will be played at Provident Bank Park.
Voice of the Spartans, Brad Sarno had the honor of being the official announcer for the evening, announcing his first minor league game. The Boulders pulled off a come from behind win in the 8th inning to make the night a complete success.
