St. Thomas Aquinas baseball player Matt Marotta was named the East Coast Conference Pitcher-of-the-Week after a 2-0 week on the mound for the Spartans, including an eight inning, three hit, seven strikeout win over #1 regionally ranked Southern New Hampshire. In the win over New Haven, the righty pitched seven scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. Marotta also went 4-for-7 (.571) at bat as a DH.
