Spartans Prevail Over Falcons, 5-4

The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team beat Felician College, 5-4 in last nights game.  STAC jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings and was able to hold on and secure the win.  Joe Ferrara picked up the win on the mound and Mark Fochesato closed the game for his first save of the season.

Dan McDermott was 3-for-3 including a two run single in the first inning.  Matt Smith also added an RBI double in the first.  Mike Apreda had two hits and one run  for the Spartans.  Ferrara went 4.1 innings only allowing 2 hits.

The Spartans will face Queens College on Friday for a 3 p.m. game at the Vet.
