Pioneers Down Spartans, 5-2

The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team lost to C.W. Post, 5-2 in the final game of the five game series.  The Spartans scored two runs in the ninth on an RBI single by junior Dan McDermott.

The Pioneers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second and added runs in the sixth and seventh innings.  Junior Kevin Ryan took the loss for STAC going five innings, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks.

The Spartans will host Queens College on Tuesday for a 3:00 game.
