Spartans Top Mercy 4-2 Winning Fifth Straight Game

The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team beat Mercy College 4-2 on Friday afternoon winning their fifth straight game and eight of their last nine games. Nick Barbalato went 2-for-5 with a run and Matt Smith went 2-for-4 with a run as they continue to play well for the Spartans.  Senior Scott Sadowski picked up the win going five innings; giving up six hits, two runs and striking out two.  Joe Antenucci, Matt Marotta, Vin Malzahn and Dan Stroud each had a RBI for STAC. 

The Spartans will be back in action on Saturday as they host Dowling for a double header at Rockland Community College.  Game time is 12:00 PM.
