Spartans Fall to Lions 3-2 in Thriller

The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball team dropped a fifteen inning 3-2 game at Dowling.  The Spartans scored two runs in the eighth inning to tie the game 2-2.  However, despite solid pitching and defense by both team Dowling was able to capitalize in the fifteenth inning as they scored off a bases loaded RBI single up the middle.

Joe Antenucci lead off the eight with a double up the left field line.  Dan Stroud hit a single at the next at bat scoring Antenucci and bringing STAC within one.  Later in the inning Kevin Connors hit a bases loaded sac fly to tie the game at two.

The Spartans will be back in action on Tuesday as they face CW Post at home for a 3:00 game at the Vet.
