Baden Rookie of the Week

Mark Fochesato, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fr., P,

Middletown, N.Y. / Pine Bush) - Posted a 1-1 mark over two

appearances allowing five hits, two earned runs and struck

out six in 8.2 innings. Held Franklin Pierce to four hits in 4.2

innings allowing one earned run. Picked up the win against

Post allowing one hit and one earned run over four innings.

 

Baden Player of the Week

T.J. Greig, Molloy (So., OF, Staten Island, N.Y. / Xaverian

HS) - Hit 542 and slugged .833 in a 2-4 week with 12 hits (5

2B, 3B) 14 RBI and five runs scored. Notched three hits and

knocked in five in a 16-5 win over UMass-Lowell. In an 8-6

loss to UML, added three hits and two RBI. He had two hits

(RBI) in an 8-6 loss to Southern Conn. (DH) and added three

hits (3 R, 4 RBI) in a 9-8 game two victory. Scored the lone

run (2 H) in an 8-1 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic.

 

Baden Pitcher of the Week

Bobby Kay, C.W. Post (Jr., SP, Stony Brook, N.Y. / Ward

Melville) - Made two appearances pitching 8.1 innings,

including a seven-inning four-hit shutout victory (1-0) with

seven strikeouts against Stonehill (1-0).
