Freshman Dan McDermott went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, inlcuding the game-winning RBI in the 7th to put the Spartans up 5-4.

Joel Violette went 6.1 innings for the win. Mark Fochesato threw 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, and Jon Della Monica pitched a perfect 9th to notch his 5th save.
