John Mazzello Earns ECC "Player of the Week" Honors

John Mazzello

Notes/Other Stats:  Mazzello went 6-for-10 for a .600 BA in three ECC Games. His on OB % was .733 (11-for-15). The STAC lead-off hitter scored 6 runs, stole 4 bases, walk 3 times, while hitting a double and homerun. He extended his hitting streak to 15 games going 27-for-49 during the streak for a .551 BA. The last time he was held hitless was against Bloomfield on March 14th. He is leading the Spartans with a .427 BA

Notes/Other Stats:  Diaz went 5-for-14 making the most of his 5 hits with 7 RBIs and 4 extra base hits (2 doubles & 2 homeruns) for a slugging % of .866.  Diaz now has 7 HRs and 29 RBIs in only 18 games

 

John Muller

Class:  Sr.        Height: 6'3                 Position: SS/P     Hometown: Mahopac, NY

Games: 3        Avg: .461    AB: 13    H: 6    R: 4       RBI: 7     2b:2       SB: 3      BB: 3

Notes/Other Stats: 

Muller went 6-for-13 for a .461 BA., and drove in 7 runs.

 

Jeremiah Ferris 

Class:  Jr.       Height: 6'1    Position: P               Hometown: Walden, NY

 Games: 1        W-L: 1-0 ERA: 0.00   IP: 6       H: 6      R: 3     ER: 0    SO: 7  BB: 0  

 Notes/Other Stats: Ferris threw 6 innings to pick up an ECC win against Mercy. He struck out 7 and walked none, while surrendering O earned runs. Ferris is now 4-1 with a 2.51 ERA

 

Brian LaMarr 

Class: Fr.        Height: 5'10       Position: P   Hometown: Flushing, NY

Notes/Other Stats: LaMarr entered the third and series deciding game in 6th inning against Molloy with a 5-2 lead. He pitched the 6th through the 9th and picked up a 4 inning save. He limited the Molloy offense to 2 hits and only 1 run (unearned)
