Mike Apreda and Angela Squillini were named Spartan Athletes of the Month for April.

Apreda batted .341 for the month of April helping to guide the Spartans to a 15-7 record for the month including 11-6 in the ECC. The freshman had a team high 28 hits and 18 runs. He had 11 RBI's with 4 doubles, 2 triples and 4 walks. Apreda was 8-11 with stolen bases and had a fielding percentage of .952.
