Sparkill, N.Y. - On Wednesday, the Division II Conference Commissioners Association and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association released their All-East Region selections for the 2022 season.
St. Thomas Aquinas College's Abbie Landrum was named a D2CCA Second Team selection, while the freshman righty was tabbed for First Team honors by the NFCA. Both accolades are for the Utility Player/Pitcher category.
Landrum (Fr./Buena Park, Calif.) enjoyed tremendous success in her first year on the collegiate level. On the mound, she finished the 2022 season with a 12-13 record in 25 appearances (24 starts) and posted a 2.71 earned run average in 142 innings pitched. She tossed a no-hitter against Dominican College on April 28 (5-0/5-innings).
At the plate, Abbie was also among the team leaders in batting average (.344), hits (43), doubles (10) and RBI (24).
