Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team earned its second straight sets victory over Long Island University in the span of a month with another 3-0 blanking, this time at the Spartan Athletic Complex on Thursday evening.
STAC moves to 4-7 on the year and sweeps the season series over the Sharks, while LIU falls to 3-6.

How it Happened
- As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas recorded 42 kills compared to Long Island University's 29. The Spartans also had 12 blocks and 39 assists, while the Sharks tallied 7.5 blocks and 25 assists.
- STAC outhit LIU by a .301 to .073 margin for the match.
- Kyran Versteegen paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 13 kills. Versteegen also registered two serve assists, a service ace, three digs and five block assists.
- Marcus Franck tallied a match-high 34 serve assists (11.33 assists/set). He also accumulated a kill five digs and four block assists for the maroon and gold.
- Luis Grath picked up ten kills, three digs and five block assists on Thursday.
- Jakob Schwarz racked up eight kills, a service ace, five digs and three block assists against the Sharks.
- David Weiss contributed six kills, two service aces, two digs and a match-high six block assists.
- Santiago Valenca accumulated four kills, three digs and a block assist in the match.
- Ivaylo Todorov put together a three serve assist and five dig effort for the maroon and gold.
