Princeton, N.J. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Volleyball team made the trip down the Turnpike on Saturday for its first-ever meeting with No. 19 Princeton University at Dillon Gymnasium. Despite a close first set and a strong second set, the host Tigers completed a 3-0 sweep of the Spartans to take the match.
STAC slips to 2-7 on the season, while Princeton moves to 2-3.

How it Happened
- As a team, St. Thomas Aquinas recorded 41 kills compared to Princeton's 37. The Spartans also had six blocks and 35 assists, while the Tigers tallied seven blocks and 33 assists.
- Princeton outhit STAC by a 0.35 to 0.20 margin for the match.
- Jakob Schwarz paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 13 kills. He also registered a service ace, four digs and a block assist.
- Marcus Franck tallied a team-high 19 serve assists (6.33 assists/set). Franck also accumulated three kills, three digs, a solo block and a block assist for the maroon and gold.
- Ylan Tapper picked up nine kills, a serve assist, four digs and a block assist on Saturday afternoon.
- Kyran Versteegen racked up eight kills, a service ace, four digs and three block assists against the Tigers.
- Joaquin La Jara contributed 13 serve assists and three digs to the match.
- Luis Grath accumulated six kills, a service ace, two digs and a block assist.
- Ivaylo Todorov put together a one serve assist, and eight dig effort for the Spartans.
- St. Thomas Aquinas has now faced off with the No. 4 (USC), No. 6 (Pepperdine), No. 9 (Lewis), No. 14 (Penn State) and No. 19 (Princeton) AVCA nationally ranked teams.
