Andrew Drescher has been named the East Coast Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans season opening race, the SUNY Purchase College Invitational, which took place on Saturday in Purchase, N.Y..

Drescher (Sr./Duanesburg, N.Y.) opened the season with a first place finish in the SUNY Purchase College Invitational, recording a time of 27:56.3. His finish also helped to lead STAC to a team victory.

The Spartans will next compete at the Manhattan College Jasper Fall Cross Country Invitational, which will be held on Saturday, September 17 at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, N.Y.
