Abagaile Kimbrell and Daniel Agostinho-Vides have been named the East Coast Conference Women's and Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively on Monday, following the Spartans third race of the season, the NJIT Highlander Challenge, which took place on Saturday in Newark, N.J.
Kimbrell (Gr./Monroe, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the women's squad on the afternoon with a time of 18:08.29 (3rd place), which helped the Lady Spartans secure a fourth place team finish.
Meanwhile, Agostinho-Vides (Sr./Westwood, N.J.) was the top finisher on the day for the men with a time of 26:37.59 (18th place), which aided the Spartans in taking a sixth place team finish.
STAC will next compete at the St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational on Sunday, October 10. The meet takes place at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY and will begin at 11 am.
