New Haven, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team made the trip up Interstate 95 on Saturday afternoon for a season-opening tri-match with Southern Connecticut State University and Jefferson University at Pelz Gymnasium.
In a hotly contested pair of matches, STAC dropped a 3-0 decision to the host Owls and a 3-2, five-set thriller to the Rams to fall to 0-2 on the year.

- Kamila Zoe Rosa (San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico) put together a four kill, one serve assist, and two dig effort against the Owls.

- Anna Gazzerro tallied a match-high 28 serve assists (5.60 assists/set). Gazzerro also accumulated a kill and seven digs for the maroon and gold.
- Laura Rojas Gomez picked up eight kills, seven digs and two solo blocks in her second match of the day.
- Christianna Roberts (Hesperia, Calif.) racked up three kills, two digs and a solo block.
- Junior transfer Boglarka Kiss (Szeged, Hungary) contributed four serve assists, two service aces and a match-high 13 digs.
- Natassia Romanoff put together an eight kill, one serve assist and four dig effort against the Rams.
