Women's Volleyball Gets Back On Track With 3-1 Victory Over Post

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Volleyball team snapped a six-match losing streak on Thursday evening by dispatching Post University, 3-1, in front of a packed house at the Spartan Athletic Center.

STAC improves to 5-10 on the season, while Post falls to 9-8 on the year.

How it Happened

  • As a team, STAC recorded 54 kills compared to Post's 53. The Spartans also had 7 blocks and 52 assists, while the Eagles tallied 4 blocks and 48 assists.
  • STAC and Post matched each other in hitting percentage, recording a .185 each for the match.
  • Greta Santini paced the Spartans offense with a match-high 18 kills. She also registered two assists, two service aces, 14 digs and a block assist.
  • Lea Venghaus tallied 41 serve assists (10.25 assists/set). Venghaus also accumulated seven kills, five service aces, 17 digs and a block assist for the maroon and gold.
  • Evie Paalman recorded 10 kills, three assists, two service aces, a team-high 20 digs and two block assists on the evening.
  • Chloe Weiting put together an 11 kill, three assist, 11 dig, one block assist effort against the Eagles.
  • Isis Barrett registered seven kills, two digs, a solo block and four block assists for the Spartans.
  • Addison Miller, Dahiana Garcia Atuesta and Christianna Roberts combined to provide STAC with one kill, three assists, a service ace, 20 digs, a solo block and a block assist over four sets.
