Eight STAC Triathletes Earn 2021 CTCA/USA Triathlon Individual Scholar All-American Honors

St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Triathletes Sylvie Bischof, Samantha Biss, Mary Dristle, Phoebe Hemmerling, Julia Kekkoken, Tyiana Nunez, Georgina Thomatos and Jadyn Vargas were recently recognized by the College Triathlon Coaches Association and USA Triathlon for their work in the classroom, with 2021 Individual Scholar All-American honors.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which changed the traditional on-campus learning experience into a hybrid mix of both in-person and virtual instruction, Spartan Triathletes were able to persevere through unprecedented times and maintain academic success by posting grade point averages of 3.5 or higher during the Spring 2021 semester.

Congratulations to all of our Spartan Triathletes on a job well done.

About NCAA Women's Triathlon

The Individual Scholar All-American Award recognizes student-athletes in each of the three NCAA divisions (I, II & III) who excel in the classroom. The NCAA named triathlon as an emerging sport for women in 2014, a designation that gives the sport a 10-year window to demonstrate sustainability at the NCAA level. Thirty-seven colleges and universities across the country currently sponsor the sport at the varsity level.
