The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Tennis team has earned the #2 seed and hosting duties in the upcoming 2023 NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship East Regional Round of 32, and will take on #3 seeded Jefferson University.
Hosting the East Regional match will be a first for both the Women's Tennis program and St. Thomas Aquinas College as a whole, having never overseen an NCAA sanctioned tournament event in the institution's 23 year history as Division II members.

STAC finished the 2022-2023 regular season with a 17-3 overall record and a perfect 5-0 ECC mark. The maroon and gold won its second East Coast Coast Conference Regular Season title in three seasons and a postseason tournament crown for the first time in program history.
The Spartans and Rams (19-4, 8-2 CACC) faced off against each other just once during the 2022-23 regular season, with STAC defeating Jefferson, 6-1 at Maximum Tennis Development Zone in Bronxville, New York. The squads have faced each other just seven times going back to the 2010 season. Jefferson currently holds a 4-3 advantage in those matchups.

Preliminary Round matches will begin on May 1-2 at top-seeds Wilmington (Delcastle Tennis Center - Wilmington, Del.) and St. Thomas Aquinas (Maximum Tennis Development Zone - Bronxville, N.Y.). The winner of #4 Southern New Hampshire vs. #5 District of Columbia will play #1 Wilmington, while the winner of #3 Jefferson vs. #2 St. Thomas Aquinas automatically advances to the finals.
The winners of each regional bracket will advance to the 2023 NCAA Women's Tennis Championship Finals, which will take place May 12-16 in Orlando, Florida. Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts.
