Viktoriia Pavlovets and Elita Silins have been named the East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively on Monday, following the Spartans 3-0 week, with victories over Dominican College, West Chester University (Pa.) and Molloy College to close out the 2021 regular season schedule.
Pavlovets (Jr./St. Petersburg, Russia) went 6-0 overall last week (3-0 doubles, 3-0 singles), winning the clinching point versus Molloy with a victory at No. 2 singles. She recorded all of her doubles wins in the No. 3 postion (vs. Dominican 6-0, vs. West Chester 6-0 and vs. Molloy 6-1), and her singles victories in the No. 2 spot (vs. Dominican 6-3, 6-2, vs. West Chester 6-2, 6-2 and vs. Molloy 6-1, 6-0).
Meanwhile, Silins (Fr./Northampton, England) picks up her third consecutive Rookie of the Week honors this season, as Elita went 5-1 overall last week (2-1 doubles, 3-0 singles). She recorded all of her doubles wins in the No. 2 spot (vs. Dominican 6-1 and vs. Molloy 6-0), and her singles victories in the No. 3 position (vs. Dominican 6-0, 6-0, vs. West Chester 6-1, 6-1 and vs. Molloy 6-3, 6-2).
STAC (9-1, 4-1 ECC) takes its nine match win-streak (10-match unbeaten streak) into the upcoming East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Tournament, which takes place on October 29 and 30 at Queens College.
