Chris Nichol Promoted To Women's Soccer Head Coach

The following Women's Soccer Coaching Staff updates were announced by St. Thomas Aquinas College Director of Athletics Nicole Ryan on Friday afternoon, in preparation for the upcoming the 2021 season.

CHRIS NICHOL - NAMED WOMEN'S SOCCER HEAD COACH

Women's Soccer Associate Head Coach Chris Nichol has been promoted to Head Coach by Director of Athletics Nicole Ryan. Nichol, has served as both an Assistant Coach, then Associate Coach over the past three seasons, and has been instrumental in the program's robust recruiting efforts during that span. Nichol takes over for Graham Brown, who will continue his role as Head Men's Soccer Coach

Originally from Newcastle, England, Chris has a wealth of experience in club soccer in the US and is currently a coach with Cedar Stars Academy. Having worked with high level female teams at club level, Chris' aim is to bring St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer to regular East Coast Conference contenders over the next few years.
 
A former Director of Coaching, Chris is a highly talented, highly motivated coach whose qualifications stem from the Football Association of England, and US Soccer.
 

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's and Women's Soccer teams begin their preseason training camps on Monday, August 16 and will both open the 2021 season in the first week of September. The Men's program kicks off their campaign on September 2 (4pm) at Spartan Field versus Stonehill College, while the Women's squad gets things going the very next day, September 3 (12pm) against Salem University (West Virginia), also at Spartan Field.
